Here's a few pictures of the Mack truck I've been working on.
It started out as a gas powered fire engine.

The plan was to build an overgrown pickup truck to pull this 40' 5th wheel, race car trailer.

Here's the truck during the mock up phase

Once we figured out where everything was going to go we pulled the truck apart for sandblasting.

We've got most of the components painted now, except for the box.

The engine looks like a Cat but it's really a DT466 International with Cat yellow paint. We used the entire driveline from this bus.

Here we're doing more trial fitting before painting the cab etc.

The cab's painted.

The interior's starting to go together.

That pretty much brings us up to date. We intend to have this truck finished in time to go racing this spring so I'll do an update or two as we make some progress. :happymugs

In a single word; incredible! Excellent build.

What is the origin of the interior?

That's a great looking Bully you have running around there as well.

Thanks for the comments.

The transmission is an Alison 545 4 speed automatic but we recently got a deal on a 3000 series Allison six speed with a lockup converter. We'll just run the 4 speed for this year but probably install the six speed for next year.

The color is Honda voltage blue metallic.

The seats and console came from a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The leather was in good shape so we used that color scheme for the interior.

Since this is a kustom build, I have a suggestion. Replace the elbow on the top of the intake. Those have a bad habit of cracking and making booost leak out.
Other than that, it's phenomenal!

looks like you'll be running juice brakes on it. What's the gvw gonna be when its done. Looks to be coming along beautifully. I'd be driving that thing as a daily driver if it was mine. I wouldn't be able to help myself it's just to cool.
