gear set

With the diesel option I thought that they only offered 3:73/4:10/4:30 gear set. 5.4 and the 6.8 have 3:55 gears. As for my cat. when I did the DPF delete I hallowed it out.

Late 2008 models and the 2009 models can be bought with the 3.55 ratio. I have the 3.55's in my 2008 F250 Lariat 4x4 CrewCab Shortbed (built 5/08) and am getting 18.2 mpg with the Spartan 210 Tune + DPF/CAT delete at 72mph and have less than 3,000 miles on my truck. I'd expect to see around 20 mpg on the highway once the truck gets around 8,000 to 10.000 miles on it.

My experience with all of the diesel trucks that I have owned (Ford, Chevy and Dodge) is that once you get above 2,000 rpms, the mileage begins to suffer. I wouldn't expect much more than 16 mpg if I were running near 80 mph.

Hand cal. mine with the 275 tune and I got 23.78 US mpg, which is about 27.9 Eng mpg or 10.1 L/100. This is highway driving. So looking at my dash on the highway its pretty close. Dash reads 28.2 and I am getting 27.9

I just took a 2500 mile trip and got an average of 15mpg and now my truck at 3500miles on it. However if i just slowed down to 50mph which I had to on one tank because of the road I got 21mpg. Later I will post my own thread with all my fillups and mpg etc.

All of this with a 2008 F350 CC SB dually with 4.10s empty

I drive 80 mph on interstate, last two 200 mile trips im getting maybe 15mpg but dash says 20 i almost always get 375> miles on a tank
This is correcting for tire size as well, truck scales at 9200#lbs with normal crap in it. Has anyone else noticed on the dd Ford Vss and OBD II vss are different? The speedo seems to run off obdII which from what i can tell is less accurate than ford Check it out
