Alright I have a 2010 6.4 with afe intake, dpf delete and sct livewire with custo tunes (I think that the tunes are from inovation if I remeber right, but I buddy helped me get setup with the sct and it's been about a year now so the memory isn't that great.) Also I have a 4" superlift with 35's. My truck has 52k on it already and I an only getting 14-14.5 mpg on the highway (about 450-480 miles a tank) and if I have a 12k trailer I'm lucky to get 10!!! This sucks! I could get a 18mpg all day long out of my cummins and I love my ford, but if things don't get better I'll be switching back to a dodge.

A friend of mine has the same set up as me only with an edge race. I know that the edge won't make **** for power, but I've only turned my sct up once in over a year. He claims to be getting 16-17 highway and 13-14 pulling a 11k trailer. Will the edge give me better fuel mileage? If not what will.

Thanks for any advice, and remeber I DON'T CARE ABOUT POWER!!!! The truck is for work, and I drive a lot and fuel is killing me. I only want fuel mileage. I have a viper if I want to go fast.

Is your buddy's set up the exact same as yours? 35's on a 4 inch lift?

are you going off what the computer says ur geting or hand calculated, toping the tank off using the trip meter n toping off again to know how many gallons u used...also is ur computer adjusted to your tire size. If your speedo is off ur mileage will be off.

A lot depends on your axle ratio, how fast you're running, wind, terrain and, when pulling a trailer, not only the weight but how much wind it catches.

My 2010 F250 4x4 CrewCab with stock 20" wheels & tires, 3.55 axle, DPF delete & Spartan 250 will do between 18 & 19 mpg (hand calculated) if I am on flat ground, no wind and running 70-73 mph.

Jump up to 75+ mph and it goes down to 16 to 17 mpg.

Add some hills and a good head wind going 70-73 and I get 15 to 16.

Add the hills & headwind and speed up to 75+ mph plus and I'm at 14 to 15.

Pulling my bass boat at 70 mph = 13 mpg.

Pulling my 8,000# 5th wheel = 10 to 11 mpg.

The new 6.7 is doing better, but not enough for me to trade-in my 6.4.

My friends running the newer Dodges are seeing 18 to 20 on the highway and only around 10 when they tow.

I don't know if Mike at KEM can write something for a SCT, but it would be worth a call. $75.00 for a custom tune will pay for itself in no time. He wrote a 75HP tune for my Mini Maxx and I see 12+MPG pulling my 9600lb 5ver. The manual trans helps also.
