hey guys. I'm picking up my 07 F350 6.0 tomorrow and have a dyno day in a couple weeks. whats the best of the best cold air kit sout there and wher eto get it? I'm very fond of putting the aitr filter inside the fender if its possible in these trucks. if not, best gains possible is needed. it will be my daily driver / tow vehicle for my mustang. only plans are a cold air intake, exhaust and a tuner. Thanks!

intake will yield VERY little if any power. i would make it the last of your three mods, as the factory donaldson filter is not really a restriction on the 6.0. assuming its not booked up, i will be dynoing tomorrow, and i will do a with and without a filter to see just how much is made. do your exhaust first, then the tuner will give you all the power...

hmm..I was just looking for a little osmething to do to make my dyno day a little more interesting. stock dyno, swap the intake then dyno again. if its 5rwhp cool, whatever. i cant drop $800 on a new full exhaust and install it before then.

Agreed, you'll get very little peak hp and trq numbers from an intake. You do get quicker throttle response and some more turbo sound.

For the lower priced intakes, the Airaid is my pick. The AFE Stage II Mega System, or whatever Airaid is calling it, is very nice. It has a large filter, replaces entire tubing from the turbo to the filter, and has all quality parts. I just installed one on our truck and even noticed more throttle response over our Airaid.

BADASS03SVT,

This is a brand new Stage II (part 54/75-11022) the enclosed Stage II (part 54/75-10392) you mentioned is a different part number. If it is sold to the 2003/04 and very early 2005 trucks the light isn't an issue. The new part number 54/75-11022 has no light issues at all. It also has a humongous filter and relocates the battery very much like the 7.3 Stage II does. So far the ones we have sold it is 100% a benefit, quicker spool up, lower EGT's and some HP as well. We have a sale on them right now as we usually do on new part numbers to save the customers some cash and get the new parts out there in the market etc.

No problem, that's what we're here for. I agree, it's my favorite intake thus far. Installation is a bit more involved, but worth it in the end. Thanks!
