Hey guys,

since the 0% is out were are looking to upgrade the fleet. Dad is looking at a KR dually to replace the one I have and I'm looking for a SRW CC. I live right by ricart ford which is the biggest dealer in the nation i believe so they have what we want.

Question is.. Can you use an X plan pin and get fords 0% finiancing?

If so, is the X-plan hands down the best way to go? Can you talk them lower.. To be honest this is the first truck I'll be buying. Pops is taking the payments until I finish school and start my job this summer. The payments don't scare me, i just want to know if it's the best possible plan of attack. Thanks in adavance everyone.

Ian, X-plan is a supplier discount. A-plan is the cheapest you can get it and that is employee/family discount.
yes, you can use x-plan and get 0%.

I don't know anyone at ford tho... Is it even legal if I could get my hands on an A plan? If so, how do I go about doing that.

Can you do A plan, incentives and 0%?

only way you can (honestly) get A-plan is have a fmily member that works at Ford get it for you. Not sure of any other way.

One more thing.. x-Plan doesn't have anything to do with Taxes does it?

I feel like your almost back where you started after that..

I ordered my truck with X-Plan pricing, and getting the Ford cash back bonus, and the low rate financing. Saving over $10K on the deal for a fully loaded truck.

And no, X-Plan pricing does not include TT&L (tax, title, and registration) so you'll have to factor that back in (varies depending on where you live).

Actually yes X plan does decrease the price you pay in taxes. Taxes are usually paid on the bill of sale and with X plan pricing your bill of sale will be lower then with out it, so you do save a bit on taxes. Taxes are paid to your local government not FORD. You may want to look into moving to a state where you dont have to pay sales tax, AK, OR... are a few I think.

ya sorry bout that...i couldnt find anything either...as i did a little more research i found out that you actually have to be a disabled vet for full membership or an immediate family member of one to be an "auxiliary" member.

sorry to discourage anyone, i was tryin to help...i guess i should have done a little more research before i brought it up.

but there are ways to get deals so maybe search for some organizations that you can join who offer X-plan pricing. even if it costs $500 to join, the savings will FAR out weigh that in the end!!

I can get the X-plan but how do I know for sure that the dealer isn't hosing me? I mean they could be telling me that I am getting it but I wouldn't know for sure. Is there a percentage that they take off the price or what?

Thanks

The total discount sort of depends on the vehicle content and location, but generally speaking the X-Plan price will range between 9%-10% below sticker (before incentives) or about $100-$200 under invoice (before incentives).

For example, mine tagged out right over at $55K (full sticker), and the X-Plan price came in over $49K, and then less the $3K cash back I got a fully loaded FX4 (including PSD, Auto, Nav, Sunroof, Heated Leather, 20-inch Wheels, Tow Command, Backup Camera, etc.) for $46K which I thought was a pretty good deal. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, now do some dealers get better invoice pricing than others? I would think that a dealer that sells and orders more than another one would get better pricing or are they all the same?

Thanks

If you get X plan the dealer is required to show you the invoice which lists X plan price. The X plan price is the same for all dealers.

:iagree Again, the vehicle content (trim level) will vary slightly (like in the hundredths of percentage) and the location will affect the destination and incentive prices. The dealer has to show the vehicle X-Plan price. If you want, send me or someone a copy of your build sheet and we can build it in the X-Plan screen to get the price you can use to compare.
