I Was Just Wondering What People Are Running For Fuel Preasure To There P Pumps. I Was Told Anything Over 26psi Won't Do Any Good. I'm Planning On Double Feeding And Runing About 20-25psi. But Any Better Ideas Would Be Welcome.
It depends on what fuel output levels you are running, a pump putting out 700cc's is going to need more fuel volume than a pump putting out 300cc's. I know Jeff Garmon runs a Magna Fuel pusher pump along with the factory lift pump. Alot of guys will run higher pressure so the volume doesn't drop off at higher RPM, but lower in the power band the excess fuel will basically bypass. Some of the guys running over 600cc's of fuel will use an auxillary pump with two feed lines into the injection pump. Also alot of people use a mechanical lift pump on a 24v, this will push up to 40-50psi into the VP44 when 15psi is recommended, but they do this to keep the volume up.
