Maybe from spraying the engine it cooled the sensor too quickly or got water on the contacts.
Make sure your coolant temp reads normal values on your scangauge first, if all ok, then...
Clear the fault code, and if comes back on again later, then check or clean the connector wire-contacts on the coolant temp sensor, or you may possibly need to replace the sensor if it's malfunctioning.
that's what it was temps are fine kept clearing code but it came back I unhooked the batts for a bit and its gone now not throwing any codes now I think is the connections were wet messing with it but all is good now
