PCM Locked

I heard that FORD will be following the Dodge efforts on the 09-up to lock the PCM on 2011 and forward so it cannot be programmed, any truth to that?

Well there is more displacement and better/more studs so it should make more than the 6.4 once they get the emissions off it......

I would also love to hear some numbers! Funny Ford hasn't even realed their numbers yet and someone has already had it tuned!! or at least a REAL good look at it
If anyone believes that Ford has loaned a new truck to an aftermarket vendor as to allow a PCM code to be cracked then I have some ocean front property in Tennessee I'd love to sell yah.

Ford does not look fondly on tuners since there are programs that have caused engine failure and created a higher warranty repair rate. That is no rumor. That is fact. If Ford is loaning 2011 trucks out post up the pics.

I have my nomex fire suit on so fire away. ;)

I will say, my company that I work for (Comau which we are owned by Fiat) built the test cell for those engines. I have talked to several Engineers from Ford and they even stated it would only a mater of time before some cracks the codes. Nothing now days could be permitely locked. There are too many hackers.

As for MAtt and the nuttey perfessor having the opportunity to go in there and check to see if they could crack it is nonsense. Id like to know when that was and how did "Ford Motor Company" allow a tuner in there to see if they could tune it. Im sure Ford doesnt have tuner at the company for that test. I know Ford motor company has released a few truck to the public for testings. Mainly in the oil fields of pretty large companies under some strict guidelines and fines. In return they get brand new truck basically for free. I also believe Ford Motor monitors those trucks pretty close. I believe those are the only trucks out in the public. I think the fact that Matt and the professor touch one is a rumor.

The 2011 you see on youtube at the truck pull was a Ford Rep and was planned by Ford motor company as a form of pre advertising.

You are wrong about the planned pre advertising....I am a personal friend with the manager of the Ford dealership in buckner ky that lent the truck out.He got his arse chewed by Ford on the monday following the event.FYI!
Why would he get his azz chewed by Ford?

So you are saying Ford Motor company lent out a preproduction truck to the dealership. ,,,Thats funny cause, the production numbers are real low at the time the video came out.

BTW. Not only did my company build the motor test cell we even designed/built the bodyshop at kentucky truck which builds the cab and truck beds.. I personnally was there for the launch since my Design group that I manage designed the Framing line of the body shop. I personnally know the bodyshop manager at KTP and have talked to him several times about the trucks that have left( preproduction). I spent many months at KTP during the launch and being part of the launch team got to know tons of Ford Motor Engineers that were part of the program. Most of the guys on here know who I work for and know what I do for a living. Again I work for Comau as an Engineering Manager. We are the largest tooling Manufactures in the world.

Ill call a few guys Monday morning at KTP who are still there doing the launch and debug. Ill find out about a dealership getting a truck lent to them and the dealer loaning the Pre-production truck to a friend. Ill even talk to Tim HArdin who works at KTP as a Engineer about that incident. HE is on a few of these Forum and Goes by HardinT.

They have had a truck to play with. Don't ask how they were able to but they did. From what I understand, they had 300 hp over stock pulled out of it within no time. Said it was overheating on the dyno due to the camo deal they had over the front end to keep them hidden. He has stated numerous times that this motor is going to be an absolute beast!

What is to find out, your original post said it was a ford rep at the truck pull...were you making it up?????dropping all those names does NOT impress me!:D

But... but... my aunt's best friend has a cousin who heard from someone that Spartan was now doing all of Ford's tuning and had a whole fleet of 6.7L trucks! Oh, and they're making 900 rwhp while getting 26 MPG.

OEM's have a lot more intrest in the aftermarket then they would ever let on. Race on Sunday. Sell on Monday. Ring any bells.

The Cummins saved Dodge pick ups. How many people would love to have a cummins in there Ford. What if Ford supplied and engine that could match the Cummins for power and milage potential. Wouldnt we all be happy...? Except for Dodge that is.
:nopics

Post up the pics on the dyno and I will retract my statement. Without pics it didn't happen. I work for one of the largest Ford dealers in the nation and I am well aware of Ford's policies. Ford does not loan out trucks to tuners. :haha They discourage the use of them. :popcorn
Then dont belive it then..... Cause obviously nothing happens without going through you or Robots??

If all could be told, it would. But it can't. This subject is the "Area 51" issue on the forums right now, except trust me, it happened. If you could connect the dots, then you would believe it. Thats all I am gonna say.

Im just saying its a little fishy. Why would Ford give their truck to a small vendor to see if they could tune it. Especially when they just sued international over their warrenty issues. One of international complaints to Ford was all the programmers. Then to top it off, Ford loaned a Camo truck to a Small diesel shop known for tuning fords....

Lets look at some funny things about this thread.

A small dealer in Kentucky was giving a preproduction F450 and the dealer loaned it out to a buddy who then truck pulled it with a sled without hardly any weight and the box moving slower then a turtle.I would of at least loaned it to a dealer where Ford SD sales were at a high volume. Kentucky is known for Chevy sales being number1..not Fords. I still have to believe the Story I heard that Ford Engineers used the truck at the pulls as a publicity stunt.

Next,,,,,,Matt at sparton had a Camo truck on his dyno meaning that truck was built early Febuary of last year. The 50 trucks that were built with Camo were all built durning P0 part of the launch..Next no one at sparton took pictures or video'd it. I think by now some pictures would of surfaced of Matt having the truck on his Dyno. I mean the truck has been in the public for a while even with out camo. When did Matt do this Dyno testing. Im curiuos of the date.

Im sorry I think those statements are BS.

Like I said, nothing electronic is Noncrackable. It will just take some hacker to break in the software and get the codes translated. It all takes time so we will have to wait and see

I would :roflol: Wait I do:rock
You make it seem that its impossible for this to happen... I don't know if it did or not but to say that it didn't without evedidence is just your opinion.

You seem like a person that knows people, have you never got something that no one else could get? Maybe Matts brother works at Ford or maybe the rumors are true that Matt has actually helped with some of the tuning quirks with production vehicles and if true either of those may get a truck to Matt to play with or maybe they are just rumors??
