Myself and Kevin Windish are going to putting a sled pull in Peoria, IL Sept 9 2006. 4-wheelers will pull @Noon and trucks will follow starting around 3pm.
5 classes 2 gas, 2 diesel, 1 open.

$30 entry, payouts $250 for first and down through 5th

Food and Beer plus other stuff going on, should be a lot of fun, RAIN OR SHINE, its under a pole barn type building where they pull the semi's and smoker tractors during the HOI fair....so its at the HOI fair grounds.

Please email me for questions, hope to see you there, will post some rules were there set final..:93C_peelo :93C_peelo

I might be able to make that one. On my birthday, too. :)

Where are the grounds located? Never been there. Go to/through Peoria/Pekin area quite a bit, but never to there.

Just so you guys know, if there is a good turnout and everything goes well, (no fights, no preventable accidents, nothing stupid..) this could turn into a few times a year event. This is a first for the heart of illinois fair motorsports board. I am friends with a buddy who is on the board and they volunteer their time so if people are A$$holes to them they will pull the plug. But in the arena it should be a really sweet event. Its a nice clay track, plenty of parking and grandstands in the shade. :squish

Thanks boggin for the directions...who are you by the way? don't recognize the handle sorry? The rules go something like this for Diesel:

Stock class is: Stock turbo only, no nitros, no propane, no water, just #2 diesel and any other upgrades but it has to have only a single stock turbo, unless it comes from the factory with more than one.

Super stock or what ever you want to call it will be: Run what ya brung, 2 turbos max, gotta be a street driven truck, I know the difference and i put in the open class if its not..

Open: OPEN.

The weights on the diesels is 8000, open i think we're gonna go 8500, 26" hitch and the standard stuff like that....fairly lax on the rules but its up to me and kevin to make the final decision.

I will see if I can get the results from windish. It was a descent turnout. Good sled (old ironsides), good fairgrounds. Hopefully we will be back next year. I like pulls with guaranteed payouts. I need another ring and pinion...
