The other day a 12 valve just like mine pulled up next to me at a light. We decided we was gonna have a little fun. He had a stick and I had a auto. If it werent for him having to shift he would have blew me away like way bad. At the next light I asked him what he had done to his truck and all he had done was no plate. Thats it. Now my question is would running no plate compared to my 0 plate make that big of a diffrence? Other than high egts when towing is there other draw backs to running no plate? Thanks.

There is a difference between no plate and a 0 plate. My last Dodge had 370s so it was more noticeable. I would say about a 30hp difference with mine. That also lead to the demise of my turbo, hitting 42 pounds at 3400rpm, and having a 16cm turbo housing. The 0 plate would only go to 36 pounds. On stock 180hp injectors it's 15hp at best. On a 215hp truck, it's about a 20hp difference. This is just a hp approximation, because the torque increase is what we're really after.

I noticed no difference going from no plate to a #100. I've heard from one guy who did back to back dyno runs w/ and w/o a plate and seen a 2hp gain w/o it.

You mean the difference between the 160, 175,180, and 215 pumps? Cause yeah they are different. The main differences are the dvs, and the cam specs. The 215 pumps will make the most power and max out about 100hp more than the others I think due to the cam and barrel and plunger design.

Yeah just take it out and button everything up. Shouldn't hurt it. I'd rather make a #0 though and be sure

I like mine. Im not sure it does much, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the lip on the end only affects the governor arm. So, its pretty much like a #0, I think.
