Here's the deal. I've been getting a random vibration from my front end lately. Not all of the time, but just out of the blue it will start to vibrate. Only really noticeable on the highway. It isn't the roads. Don't think its the front tires, they were just balanced 5K? miles ago, plus, like I said, it is a random vibration. :damnit

Also, factory ball joints didn't have grease fittings, right?

Factory ball joints as well as some of the after market ones didn't come with grease fittings. And my truck will vibrate at speeds between 35-45 mph. I still haven't figured out what it is, I haven't found anything loose in the front end though. Maybe someone will help the both of us mid-missouri boys.

Ok, all of my ball joints have grease fittings.
Anyone have suggestions as to what it could be?

Steering Wheel?? I can feel my vibration in the steering wheel, and my wheels and tires seem to be stout, so I don't think its the ball joints.

highly dout its the stabilizer. i bet both of you need new wheel hubs on the front end. i would almost bet money on it. by 90k i had already had both of mine replaced. i was feeling a vibration here and there. the other one felt like a little thumping on the floor board.

The steering wheel vibration on mine was coming from the joint where the pitman arm is. With the truck off have someone jerk the wheel as far as you can back and forth and you'll see the movement.
