I have done mine a few times. To be honest I just take some food grade silicone spray and douche it down where I can get the red straw in. I have only done it twice in the last 5 years so it must end up somewhere and so some good.

as much or more than lube, the track needs to be spread a tiny bit.at least that was the solution that worked for my truck.I took a strip of 1/4 inch thick flooring to pry the aluminum channel open(a little at a time)

Good luck ,

WD-40 worked for me, I just gave the lower track a good spray and it works great.

You better keep it lubed. I didn't and fried my motor assembly. Now I'm out the sliding rear window. A new motor is about $250!!!!

I would use Tri-Flow just in case, because in cold weather WD40 will freeze.
