Hry guys. thinking about rebuilding my 1993 ford F250 7.3 non turbo. It only has 146000 miles but has a small oil leak coming from the rear seal. lots of power.. no smoke anything like that... but just dont want any leaks. i also have plans for the motor in the future.( i dont think i need to go into detail) haha Is it best to rebuild now or wait until it Needs to be done. i have read bad things about rebuilt, and reman motors... does anyone have any experience with those.... what should i do?

I wouldn't rebuild it with 146K if it's running correctly; if you want remove it and reseal it. Diesels IMO are harder on gaskets (vibrations)
6.9 & 7.3s are long lived engines, the 6.9 in my old 85 had a little over 400k on it when I got it & threw in a low mile 7.3 IDI
