What type of speedo recalibrators r people running out there? Programmers vs. jet accuspeed, yellow box @ blackrobotics.com, or superlift?

My BD-R.A.D. is supposed to be an all-in-one type deal, speed eliminator, anti defueler, and recalibrate the speedo. The other two seem to work fine, the speedo recalibration doesn't seem to work at all. So I can tell you I don't recommend that one, but thats about all the info I can give you.

If you are looking for some more ponies and the calibration try a Smarty controler. It does it all! My speedometer and odometer are right on by my GPS after using the Smarty to recalibrate them. The added HP and trottle responce is nice too if you are into the whole BOMBING thing.

Only thing bad I have to say is, it would be more fun if you could adjust it on the fly. I have also heard some auto guys saying they didn't like it too. I've heard those guys loosing HP once installing it?

I've heard some really mixed reviews on it. However, I think a lot of guys just set it on kill and expect it to make the truck into something totally new and different. I also talked to a couple of guys that did the beta testing, and they all reported having different settings for their best power, some said #9 some #7 etc. This was also proven by dyno charts, and 1/4 mile times. So it verys from truck to truck, don't just set it on #9 and think that thats the best.

However, I'm not running one yet, so I can't speak from personal experience, these are just things I have heard others say.

I recall someone saying that they got 2-3mpg out of it, however, I don't have that in front of me, so I'm going strictly off of memory here, and other than that I didn't here too much about milage. However I think most guys are buying them for power and driving characteristics. When you do get one, let us know how the milage feature works.

hopefully within a month, was thinking about doing the amsoil bypass filters first, and changing all of the fluids to amsoil, the truck has 85k on it, so i rather do preventative measures first, I hear that will not only improve mileage, but also the fluid change intervals will increase, and the components will last alot longer. Going to try to run this truck for a long time.
