I have a Edge system, the older version 60hp/80hp/100hp, and I got a 1704-a superchips tuner. Can I use them together? Thanks

you can BUT i dont recomend it, i usd to use superchips for trans then edge for power, its not the safest thing in the world, i would set the superchips on the lowest setting and then use the edge from there

Wouyld you put the superchip in first then when that is done plug in the edge?

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DONT STACK the two!! :splat I can tell you first hand, I ran a Predator stacked with the Edge awhile back in my 04 F350 until it started blowin coolant out the degas tank.It got worse & worse until it ended up costing me another engine as a cylinder was scored from the combo! :damnit Seat of the pants I thought my truck ran faster but in reality it ran no faster.

If you want all out power from a tuner & or box just due yourself a favor, contact somebody such as Eric @ Innovative Diesel, get an Excaliber2 SCT with his Extreme RACE file & youll blow away the combination youre attempting to run...much much safer as well!! :Thumbup:

thanks guys. So thats a no no huh? Havent done it yet. Maybe I'll unplug the edge and put the superchip in and see witch one feels better.

...You could do that, but there prolly aint that much difference between the two.
If you want real,ultimate power, ditch both of them & get an SCT XCAL2 with a custom 'extreme' race type file like I said beforehand.
An SCT custom tune is NOT the same as a Superchips 'Micro tuner' or a 'flashpack'. BIG DIFFERENCE! :sly:

If you still was to kick around stacking tuners, the BD X-tuner will stack with the edge.

i think the order of "goodness" of the tuners are
1) custom tuned sct
2) out of the box sct
3) superchip
4) everything else...?

someone can correct me if thats wrong, but from what all ive read i think thats pretty much the consenses....

DO NOT Stack on the 6.0L...it leads to very bad things.

Pay a little over $400 dollars to one of the many SCT vendors on here, and you will have more safe power, than any stack...:2cents

I would but my Bully Dog over superchip.
I know a guy with a superchip in a 05 and he wants the B-Dog after he drove mine.

so out of the two that i own which one would be better? I dont have four hundred dollars to spend right now. Dont get me wrong I wouldnt mind having a SCT but I already have these ones.

Sell them... the superchips IMHO is marketing - the banks IMHO is marketing - the Edge has a rep of causing tranny problems....


the SCT XCal2 is the safest, best power.... period :)

Agreed SCT all the way. I am running Innovative’s ext race tune 413 RWHP on a dynojet.
