This is probably yet another case of when the book leads you a million miles from the fix. Perfect example is when you are doing the pinpoint tests and it says Measure resistance on a wire. Is resistance greater or less than 10K ohms. Less then tells you to fix the open and greater than says to put a PCM in it. And you think ummm if the wire has the correct resistance then why does it tell me to fix the open?
