I want power up over the hill loaded with twice the weight as the other guy and to watch him struggle to see my taillights cause he's so far back and can't catch up!!:peelout
This has been my idea for years. This is especially true running across PA and in the east. I can still never understand the guys running 70+ mph, but I pass them on every hill and I never run over 60 mph. Majority of the time I beat these guys to where ever we are going.:woohoo

If you haven't figured it out yet, the truck rides like a Cadillac
I love those "Cadillac rides":happydance:woot:. I had one last week up in Wisconsin back to the yard. Forty one pallets of food condiments and I won't even post a weight cause many won't believe that a person can haul that much in a reefer:D. I will say that the new company I'm leased to learned a new lesson about me...don't send me to a customer with 16 pickup numbers and tell me to "get what you can and then we'll send in a truck for the left overs." There wasn't any left overs.:thumbsup:sly

I know what it was! All I could think of was a U shaped reefer going down the road...lol. So whens that spread axle coming?:D
You better not tell anybody the weight:fan. And no the trailer held up just fine...no sags, weird noises, or cracks:thumbsup. But I'm not gonna load this trailer that way all the time since it's not speced for it and I would have to spend a bundle to bring it up to par.

As for the spread axle...:swearI gotta wait until after my wife gets her new house. But even after that I may not spec out a traielr with a spread unless I need for every week. So far a tandem would be the best setup (just a few extras added to it:thinking:rolleyes::hump

I'm getting too ole to drive
You're not getting old...you're becoming a seasoned veteran with experince that money can't buy:madpokeLOL

Can I get a discount now for sucking up to ya?:kissass:wiggle

Well what's the point of having a trailer that big if your not going to fill it up?:D
Didn't you feel dangerous driving around over loaded without an overweight permit helping you stop?LOL
To be honest I actually felt sleepy from the nice smooth ride:toytruck

Right now I'm lucky to find one coil to put on! Besides last time I put a big load on, (bigger than my permit by about 15k lbs) I had to do alot of talking to keep from getting my lease cut! But it sure was funny watching those big shiny black canadian trucks, can't remember their name, but anyway watching their jaws hit the ground when I untarped that load....:D. It really made their 5 axle trailers look pointless...:roflol:
Kaplan threaten me like that once when I took home a pair of 60's. But they calmed down in a day or two...my wife on the other hand didn't calm down that quickly:gaah

Maybe I can talk that Don fella into loaning me some money??:happymugs
I don't have any money since I'm just a low paid door swinger with a air condition trailer:point:bawl...not to mention paying for my head gasket deal:swear

yeah what happened with that head gasket deal Don? Was it as simple as just having a bad head gasket? Or have you been playing with those programs....
To be honest...I'm not sure what caused it. I have been running the same tune for the past 10 months or so. The local CAT shop was a lost cause when it came to diagnosing the actual reason for the failure. All they could tell me was that the head gasket was totally gone at the back of the block and they have never seen one like that before. I ended up replacing the #6 liner and the head gasket, but some other work that I wanted done never got done.

:rantonMy wife had to calm me down when CAT finally called me with their "estimate"...they hadn't even tore the head off and they started qouting me prices. Then asked me what problems I was having...I guess the loud ticking noise, exccessive crankcase pressure, and the fuel/oil mix splattered on the firewall wasn't a big enough clue.:nunu::rantoff

The problem was the loose nut behind the wheel!
I take it that you have been stopping by the house and talking with my wife again:swear

Hey check you clutch, I think its ticking....:bluesbros
Don't get me started on Perterbilt and their so called trained mechanics.:fan

Keep in mind, mechanics just like pilots and doctors were not all A+ students! A "D" is still passing!:damnit:happydance
Yeah I keep reminding myself of that fact, but there seems to be more and more "D students" than any others. Plus with the shop rates going higher and higher the shop managers use the excuse that training the mechanics costs so much more...training them for what:gaah
