new to this site i like it a lot !!!!!!!!!! here goes my first of 100000000 questions.

i have a 2001 ram diesel with aftermarket tires size 305/70r/16 wondering compared to stock if they will effect speedometer reading and fuel burn (assume yes) .

also what size tires are "stock" from factory.

stock on an 01 is 265/75/16. With 35's yes it will effect your speedo reading, and what your fuel consumption shows. It should be roughly 11% difference for your truck, so your truck should show that you are going 11% slower than you actually are. If you multiply your fuel milage by 1.11 that will give you your corrected fuel milage. Hope this helps, and welcome to the garage.

And for the record, if you get to read this before a moderator gets to it, They will probably move the thread to 2nd Gen 24v. since the truck being discussed is an 01.
