When the time comes and I know it will, who makes the best setup for the 5r110? My truck is a daily driver/weekend tow rig but I will abuse it sometimes. It should be around 400+ hp and 900+ ftlbs to start with but it will have more own the road. I've always had manual transmissions so I'm kinda new to this automatic game.

best advice i can give is to not use the 5r110, with a stand alone controller they have not performed well, give Aden a call at GOS most guys that want autos are putting in a 4r100 or adapting a 48re.

I have the 5r110 behind my CR and I have 600hp at the wheels on the dyno at Merchant automotive. Mine has held up well. It took some time tuning but Jason from fordcummins helped me out and it shifts great. I ran a 12.89 in the 1/4 mile with a crew cab short box weighing in at 8250lbs. So i'm very happy with it.

The 5r110 can be used, but I think its been found that it takes less time to put a built 4r100 in or a built 48re in ( if you go CR) if you go 12v a build 47re or 47rh can be done. What motor are you going to run, I see your sig list a 96 Cummins so Im guessing your going 12v, if it where me I would call Aden a GOS and go 4r100
