The E4OD won't hold the power that the 4r100 If both are in stock form. Ford won't issue standard ratings for the trannies alone. Since ford makes them you won't find the max torque ratings like you will for the ZF, NV4500 or Allison auto. Since they are made by a different mfr that the vehicle builder.
Like everyone else has said the weak link is the torque converter & the valve body setup. I'm @ 160k w/ mine which I believe has had some internal work done before but don't have any concrete evidence other than I didn't have a Ford torque converter in the truck when I went to replace it as well as the front pump seal was the updated design.
W/ adequate cooling & monitoring of temps, you're good to go w/ a shift/VB kit along with a good torque converter the trans will last quite a while even under reasonable power w/ a heavy foot.
