7.3, 2002.

p0122 on a gasoline truck is "the throttle position sensor circuit low sensor"

but what about a diesel? do I understand right, that it's the "accelerator position sensor" on a 7.3 diesel? and that in turn means that the whole (expensive) pedal assembly must be replaced? :(

the engine doesn't run nice, and the code I get is P0122..

thanks!

That certainly sounds like a possibility. Oddly, you don't normally get a code when your TPS goes bad in our trucks. Just a question, what device were you using to pull this code from your truck? A lot of generic code readers do not seem to work properly in our trucks.

As far as I know, you have to replace the whole assembly. The new dealer sensor is a little different than your original sensor. But it is an easy replacement.

Thanks for the answer! I used my SCT.. Will try to find a shop that might be able to help me with another reader..

Since I've got the adjustable pedals it's a part for about 450 USD.. Kind of have to do a good search before I replace the old one.. :)
