So I have just finished removing turbo and replacing the 4 o-rings. Originally it had a leak on front side between pedestal and turbo, also ebv rod was leaking. I have deleted ebv, not that I really wanted but choice was limited on budget. I had both oil ports on the one end alum welded closed then plugged rod end. No leaks there, but I am still leaking between turbo and pedestal. O-rings where ford oem and greased with white grease then bolts torqued to 30 ft/lbs. I am assuming alum surfaces are slightly warped. Anyone seen or heard of this ? Its the old style pedestal. Next I was going to try sanding both mating alum surfaces on flat surface.
Truck has been in driveway for 4 months now while I slowly worked on it. Afterwards now my brake pedal does not return. Brakes work, have all been replaced just pedal does not return. Ordered new booster ? Any ideas guys
