Shoot. I too was hopin' for a response. I need a louder turn signal so I can hear the darn thing. (nothin' worse than driving down the highway for 20 miles with signal going cause I don't hear it) Yeah, I know. I should be looking at my speedometer once in a while. But living on the edge is always interesting.

So ... I too would like to at least start by finding out where the relay is.

Anybody ????

There is none.

All the external lighting is computer controlled via the Body Control Module (sometimes called the GEM - Generic Electric Module, or LCM - Lighting Control Module). The "flasher" is microprecessor controlled.

The two most common causes of no turn signals or flashers is a blown fuse or bad Multifunction switch (Turn signal Sw).

Thanks for the info. I guess my understanding of turn signals goes back to my days of owning a '66 Impala straight six. THat's the last time I can remember changing out a turn signal relay. Remmeber the good
'ol days when you hooked up a trailer and the turn signals flashed real fast?

So is there any way to get a louder turn signal sound? Maybe some type of add on component? When it comes to electrical stuff I'm about as smart as I with understanding my wife!LOL

Anyone else have this problem? My turn signal switch is fine. My hazards work fine but my turn signals dont work. The Turn signal flasher/relay is working.

Have you checked the connections on the switch? Just FYI my tabs were broken and a couple of the pins had pulled out of the plug

Just came across this and got a chuckle. On an 02 there is a turn signal relay and it is located under the dash near the electronic 4x4 selector, near the same area as the trailer brake controller upfit connection. It is on the same relay bus as the Rear AC blower realy for an excursion. Of course this is an empty slot on the trucks. It will have a cover that has to be removed to access he relay. On sevice trucks these seem to always go bad due to the 4ways always being used. This relay isnt easy to find if it is inop. If you can make it make noise either by trying the 4ways or turnsignal lever, it will aid you in finding its location. I just replaced mine to use LEDs in the rear tail light of my service truck. The flasher itself is itself microprocessor controlled. It controlls the flash rate and lamp out fast flash. EDIT Just realized you said you had 4ways, turn them on and go hunting. The same flasher relay does both hazards and turnsignals.
