ok i no im askin alot of questions, but i plan on doin everything to my truck this weekend, while i got the valve cover of to put the injectors in i want to adjust the valves, how hard is this should it be done by a professional,if not does any one have instructions on how to do it and the tools needed thanks

ok.. your turn the surpenteen belt from the alternator, and you find the top dead center of the vp pump? good information just was wondering where you check to find the tdc. which cover or what not.

Let the engine cool down. They stay warm, almost hot for hours. Cummins recommends doing it cold.

Alot of people will recommend not adjusting the valves that aren't out of spec. Might just be an opinion. Whether it's a good idea or not, I adjust all of them anyways. :shrug:
