I think my 7.3 idi nonturbo 93 f250 is in need of a valve
Adjustment. I can hear its got some valve tappage going on
under the hood.

Anyone got a site on the proceedure steps required? I have
to replace the leaking cover gaskets and while im there I would
like to get the valves adjusted.

No adjustment, all the diesels in Ford P/Us and Vans have "hydraulic lifters" which cannot be adjusted.

It is possible that one or more lifters are gummed up and not self adjusting, but an oil change or two with a fully synthetic oil, getting the engine FULLY warm and driving it a lot in a short time would help that - as would flushing the oil system.

You could also add a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil a few hundred miles before your next scheduled change, the detergents in it will take care of any sticking lifters and clean most of the deposits off that could be getting in the lifters (or anywhere else.)
