I need to pick the Brains of you experts I only get a VGT reading of 2.4 on my scan gauge but the truck runs perfect as I just did a lot of work on it [refer to post head studs] Am I correct in assuming that the turbo control valve works on oil pressure and the electrical part only supplies a reading of % on the scan gauge? There for the valve can be working fine but not showing a read out.
Thanks Ed

My VGT reads 15-85% on my SG2.

May want to recheck the VGT coding sequences that were entered into the SG2.

The vane position sensor is built into the VGT solenoid valve.

My typical values rolling down the highway are usually 38 to 47 depending on conditions.

If you let it sit and idle for 15 minutes or so you should see it go from 15 to 85 and hear the turbo in the exhaust.
