I had a buddy in HS who's dad did something similar. When their farm truck went out...he fabbed up a gooseneck ball in the truck of his old Dodge Polaris and hauled cattle to town for a few weeks like that.

Laugh all you want - I've got a buddy with a gooseneck ball in the trunk of his Eldorado - bull horns on the front, too. Other than you really can't get 15" tires that are any good, it handles a trailer surprisingly well........

My Dad bolted up a goose neck to his '76 elcamino for the horse trailer. Only got about 1500 miles out of it before the Tranny went south.
I gave him hell for YEARS about that, but it taught me some of my first lessons on re-building automatics, so I guess it was worth it:sly:
