If I get a 12v with a 47RE what do I use to control the Transmission, a PCS or the dodge ECU? thanks

Just run a manual VB in the 47RE then you don't have to worry about how to control it:thumbsup:

Sweet that's what I was hoping for. That will save me about $800 on a PCS. Now I'm on the look out for a 47re and a motor plate to go with it.

Anyone want to trade for an Eaton 5 speed?
you can also get a 47rh trans then you don't need a controller.

if you go manual VB you will likely want an aftermarket shifter to control it and thats going to add to the price along with the time to mount it.

I thought there really isn't a difference betweem the 47RE and 47RH. The RE was electric but it really is only the OD that is electric which is the same as the 47RH. If I am going to need a stand alone controller I might as well get a 4r100. unless I can get a new plate for the back of the motor to mount the 47rh/re, it has an SAE #2 on the back.
you don't need a controller for the rh just run a wire for over drive on off.
