I have a 1991 Ford E350 Diesel 7.3 which has issues with stalling and starting. I'm trying to check all my fuel pumps to be sure they are working. I see the pumps by the tanks and the injector pump, but I'm told there should be another 'lift pump'.

Is this true?

I can't find it, and I tried tracing the fuel lines and looking at everything on a belt. Where I can find this pump?

The pickup pump is located on the passenger side on the front corner of the block. You should only have one lift pump which is mechanical and runs off the camshaft. Although some block off this location to run an electric pump which dont sound like the issue to you.

Your Stalling and starting may be related to something else other than the fuel pump. Has the fuel filter been changed recently?
