I live in Houston and I am planning on taking a road trip to Chicago. I am wondering if I should put the stock A/T tires back on or leave my aftermarket 37" x 13.5" Procomp extreme all-terrain tires on. I have a 2008 F250 crewcab FX4 longbed.
Your aftermarket tires should be fine. I run mine Toyo's year round in Alaska with no added weight in the bed. Not sure, but I would imagine the roads would be clear of snow....just keep an eye out for ice.
I live in the mountains of Colorado and run COOPER DISCOVERS - STUDDED!!
My brother lives in NW MONTANA and him and all his cronnies run either COOPER DISCOVERS, ARTIC CLAWS OR THE GUYS WITH $$$$$$ LIKE TO RUN GOOYEAR MTR'S EITHER SIPED OR DRILLED FOR STUDS.
if you are worried run your stock tires... they are WAY better than your big tires unless they are siped/studded. I have 13.5 wide Toyos and the stocks (even though they are crap) are 5 times better in the slush and ice. I also run with at least 500 pnds of wieght in the back.
