I am thinking about pulling a 3604b cat engine out of a 1988 exhd 379 peterbilt and putting it in a 1985 regular hood 359 peterbilt. My question is will the radiator and air to air cooler from the 379 fit in the 359? If so is there any unexpected problems with this change over?

Don't know about anyone else but we ALWAYS run into unexpected problems. You won't be having a a/c condensor with the CAC thats for sure

Ya I've never made it work without TONS of mods and lots of rigging.

Swapping a 378 (1993, 3406c) radiator in to an older 359 exhood presents problems as I detail in this thread beginning at Page 4. Scroll down 'bout half a page.

Use a measuring tape carefully and ascertain clearances for bottom hose and oil cooler if it is a forward mount. At best it's a very tight fit.
