i recently rebuilt my tranny on my 04 3500. installed sun coast 3d torqe converter, a billet input shaft, and transgo shift kit. the full tranny is rebuilt with new parts except the housing and the front rear drums. the question is, when i take off 1st, 2nd, 3rd, are ok, but 4th feels like it slips or doesn't lock down properly is there a way to adjust. 2nd question is when i am coming to a stop, it down shifts really hard back to 1st is that normal?

i dont know about the 4th gear issure, but the down shifting is normal, mine has all kinds of lash noise when it goes back into 1st

I just put a transgo in about a month ago, and going back into frist it shifts hard and makes some noise.

when i installed it, i put the spring in that said something like "for slighty less throttle on shifts" or something like that, and i didn't know what that meant lol..it just said to do it, so i did.

i also drilled out the hole for snow plow on the plate, and i don't have one.

so i just figured that 1st shift had something to do with that....but it runs fine with the transgo and doesn't slip compared to alittle bit with the stock body

like the other guys said, the hard downshifting is normal....but i had a transgo in my stock trans....MAKE SURE that yur shift linkage is adjusted perfect.....If not if you put in that spool valve that allows for manual shifts at any rpm will burn up yur tranny....
