Hi,
I'm just tearing into our 1999 INTL with a DT466E. The motor got hot, and the seals went on the back three cylinder liners.
I have it apart, and hope that I can get away with an in frame rebuild. The engine is a sludgy mess, but the rod bearings don't look bad. The cam lobes and lifters look good. I took a few pictures, I was concerned about the color of the metal between the cam lobes. Any feedback would be appreciated, as I've never torn into a wet sleeve motor.
The truck has about 450K miles on it. We only put about 5,000 a year on during harvest.
Thanks,
Nick
