oil leak where intake manifold meets block

My 7.3 has a small oil leak where the intake manifold goes into the engine on the drivers side of engine. Tried to search for info and could not find any solid info. Most say this is caused from the ccv, some say it needs to be cleaned others say it never needs servicing. Anyway any ifo would be great. Is this a replaceable gasket where the intake manifold connects to engine(black metal rectangle). Thanks again for any input

That is where mine likes to leak from too. Except mine dribbles a little from both sides I think. I mean are my intake valves allowing all that oil to leak into the manifold or what? I know that they use the gray RTV to make the gaskets, the same stuff they use for the oil pan.

There should not be ANY oil in the intake system more than a misting and no oil should be in the valley area, there is nothing to seal there except the fuel pump on earlyier models.

The CCV can pass excessive oil but in most cases that is because of excessive blow-by and not a defective CCV valve. The intake boots to the turbo are often slobbery and soft from oil but unless it pools, not a concern. It is possible that the turbo shaft seals have failed and it is misting oil into the boost piping.

I took off the y-pipe and it seemed pretty dry, I looked down in the manifold as best I could and it seemed dry as well. If you reseal the manifold covers, let me know how it turns out. After you do it, I'd at least let the truck set overnight to allow the rtv to set up properly.
