I was curious how many people on this forum have done the tone ring mod? And if so what where your experiences ie: mileage gain - mileage loss - timing knock? Also if you have done the tone ring mod, what is the NOX rating on your data plate?

OK I'll start, 2004 HO 48RE NOX rating is 3.6, I experienced no ill effects at idle and have only a small timing knock right off idle while driving. It seems to have a little better low end response, and I will see tomorrow what MPG difference there may be.
I installed the RokkTech sensor (same as doing the tone ring mod) and got more off idle grunt, smoother running truck, and a little mpg increase (as in maybe 0.5mpg)...no unusual noises...
