This weekend out of no where the truck just started to make some really strange noises. The only thing that has drastically changed around here is this weekend was our first real hot weekend around here. 95 degrees & tons of humidity. I started it up and pulled it out of the garage and when driving away normally from a stop it sounded like a space ship or something. Not the usual turbo whistle. Almost like it was blowing through a straw or something. It even made this noise at WOT. I've seen some people that have had theirs sound like a root type blower, but it didn't sound quite like that. I drove it for a little while like that then just went and put it in the garage. Now the temps around here have cooled down and the noise has changed. Its sounds like a low howl or an owl continously hooting. I know that sounds funny but its the best way I can describe it. I can't really tell whether its comming from the intake or exhaust but from inside the cab it sounds like its comming from under the hood. It only happens at part throttle around 1200rpm with 1 or 2 psi. Performance wise the truck just seems sluggish compaired to what it was before. I know 6.0 have never been known for good turbo response and have had a delayed take off but its worse than ever now. I also noticed the truck used to make around 30 PSI at WOT now its down to about 26. ANd it also jsut doesn't feel as fast as before. I am not hard on my truck at all. Maybe a few WOT blasts through first and second gear but it doesn't get beat on hardly at all. Its never even made a full pass through all the gears. I know if you play you got to pay but I'd be really disapointed if its ate a turbo already. The Truck is an '06 with only 5100 miles on it. Had the programmer on it for about 1000 of those miles now.

First off welcome to the site and it almost sounds like your just hearing the tone that all 6.0 litres make, in other words it's normal.
An oil change is all thats recently been done. Other than that its just been driven, no changes to the tunes at all. When I first got the tuner I just put in the extreme street tune and I havent touched it since. I also noticed today that it puffs black out the tailpipe now even when just taking off normally. Before it would only smoke if you floored it from a dead stop. Also the weird spaceship noises it was first making are back.
