190cc's with all the fuel they want and 1200lbs in the bed gets me 750+/- at 75mph...can climb to 1000 with a good hill ..but only because when you goose it going up a hill it feels like a horse bunching up to jump a creek...or a cat ready to leap on the bird and it's soooo much fun..lol.... I do have the banks intercooler and if I pulled more with this truck I might consider water/meth...

I want to add that if I choose I can be to 1400 or 1500 real fast and DSI who we all know could not seem to tow and keep his egt's tollerable at his altitude and went back to stock sticks.....but I have two 7.3's that do the heavy stuff if needed...Tunes can be written that pull them way back for towing and stuff that I know...

I pulled up to 8K regularly with 225's, turbo and intercooler.
My egt's were close to Jefferys...maybe a bit higher...but would climb really fast on hills so I had to watch them close.
Oh yea...I always towed on race files too.

What size of injectors? How muck weight? What kind of supporting mods?(Turbo, Fuel system?) What kind of EGT's at cruise and when pulling up a hill? Thanks!

Can't you just tone them down with the SCT?

 

i have towed maybe 7k with my 275's and a race file :} got prety warm but it did it and only went over 1200 once but i was babying it, but dang did it roal the coal, i want to try hauling 14k with it on a tow file to see what happens

I wouldn't recommend towing with Stage 2's and no tuner. The stock injection timing curve is too retarded to give decten EGT's to live with injectors.

I have dyno'd a truck with 275's and my tow file and it did a little over 400hp with a stock turbo. You could probably run it or an economy file for towing.

My egt's were high with 190's. but with the new tow files from innovative or ATS, they would be okay, You'd difinitely be fine in the winter time, i acutally noticed better fuel economy with the bigger injectors

 

So it seems like the general idea is you can do it with a moderate tune. Maybe look into an intercooler to keep the EGT's down. I wish i had more money.... haha

In the newest issue (pg.93)there is a pic of a SD in a pulling event. The pic in the mag looks very similar to your avatar pic, but after looking closer, the pic in the mag is a dually. Very similar pics though

 

i will have to check it out. mine is a dually. hell it might be mine i haven't gottin that issue yet. if it is me than thats preaty cool lol

 

I agree with Tadd, an Economy/Tow program, possibly with some extra fuel pulled down low would be best for pulling with large injectors.
