I did a search but nothing seems to really compare to my problem.
First and foremost ...my 6.0 has been very good to me....no real problems other than standard truck maintenance issues.
The truck is starting and driving fine. No hesitation, I can hear the whistle of the turbo spooling but there is this whine its seems to be coming from the back fire wall.
When I start the truck in the morning, I turn the key let it go through its start up sequence then I hit the starter. But now before I hit the starter I hear this whine ...something like a electric motor seized drawing high amperage. It eventually trips off in a minute or less. I then hit the starter and my diesel starts up with no problems but then the whine is there again. Doesn't seem to change a hell of a lot when driving...there is some sound frequency changes to the whine when I hit the brakes or say hit the electric window button, or tap the gas (like when an electrical load comes on)....but the whining sound doesn't change much just slightly
any help in diagnosing the problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
